Recently I have been thinking a lot about life. What have I accomplished? What do I want to accomplish still? Last week I celebrated 19 years of marriage. Last summer I turned 42. As I look back I think about all I still want to do.
Then I stumbled across Day Zero, the home of the 101 in 1001 days project. What a great way to keep a person focused on their goals. So I set out to make my list.
The Mission:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Jamie, your list sounds great. Good luck with it. It sounds like you'll have a lot of fun with it too.
Do you have some instructions etc for a good sourdough starter. Let me know if I can help at all. I've got 2 different starters on the counter right now. (My blog is going to start looking like a bread baking blog instead of a family blog! lol)
You'll have to share your monthly dessert! I'd love to see what you make.
