First FOs of 2006

One of my New Years Resolutions was not to add to my bulging craft room and the many projects I have either started or bought supplies to do.
With this in mind I started the new year working on a cross-stitching kit I bought only 8 months ago...lol

This project is a christmas banner of a dog and cat carolling. Cute as can be and finally finished to proudly display next holiday season.

With this project proudly under my belt, I set out to find another unfinished craft lost in the abyss of my craft room. Back in December I had stumbled upon a LYS with the most heavenly selection of yarns. As I browsed the shelves I came across something so soft I knew it had to come home with me. I happily bought 5 balls of Luxury Collection Alpaca Silk in Wine and stored it for future use.

I looked thru my "hopeful" patterns and decided upon Clapotis
Deciding on the stole-size I began my journey. About 2/3 the way thru I ran out of the lovely wool and headed to the LYS to purchase more only to find out that they no longer had the color in stock. After some hyperventilating, I decided to browse e-bay and found a vender who sold the wool but had none of my lovely wine listed. My dearest hubby suggested e-mailing the person to see if they had some in stock somewhere.

The next morning I found an e-mail from this person saying they were just about to list the said color as an auction. Promptly 5 more balls were bought....I was not going to run out again. After another week of work, I can happily say that another project is done.

So now I have 2 completed forgotten projects finished. What should I do next?
Sewing, Knitting, Crocheting, Painting, Scrapbooking. Hmmmmm???

Stay tuned to find out.

Looks like 2006 is shaping up to be the year of clearing out UFO's! LOL I'm doing the same thing. Those forgotten projects are following me around like a little gray cloud keeping me from diving in to something new.

Love the "Clap"! Such a pretty color. I've started one several times only to end up frogging it shortly in to the pattern. I guess I just haven't found the right yarn yet.

The cross-stitch is cute. What fun it will be to pull out some thing new this Christmas!

Absolutely beautiful! I might start on mine after the olympics is over.

Isn't that pretty! And Congrats on getting some UFO's done and out of the way! They like to hide out and haunt you, it's always a relief to get them done and out of the way. Sort of like calling in the Ghostbusters LOL.
